
Your tasks:
- Support the thermal run-away design of the battery modules using calculation methods ranging from 1st order principles, e.g., Excel, to complex 3D CFD simulations
- Support the design process for the thermal management of the battery modules using calculation methods ranging from 1st order principles to complex 3D CFD simulations
- Work closely with system engineering to establish and run an efficient simulation-driven design and optimization process
- Provide detailed reports for certification purposes
- Actively support shaping processes in the department
- Work on ad hoc related tasks or projects provided by management
Your profile:
- Completed studies in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
- More than 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Experience working on battery pack design and simulation, including thermal run-away is beneficial
- Excellent skills in state of the art CFD and heat transfer modelling
- Experience with thermal networks and reduced-order modeling
- Experience with system modeling and mechanical design processes would be a plus
- Experience in working with Ansys (Icepak), Flotherm, Comsal and Python or Matlab
- Very good knowledge of English
